Why have M2M XXX videos suddenly shifted to a 'bareback is ok' stance? I know for a fact that the gay XXX video market was a pioneer in the condoms only safe(r) sex movement. Slowly the str8 XXX market followed. But lately I have seen a huge rising of bareback videos on the market. I am just baffled, I don't know why these exist. Some may argue they have a right to make them, but what sort of message does this send to people? I am not looking for validation here, in fact if somebody can point out a well based argument then please do. |
Such films, produced exclusively by smaller studios, are highly controversial within the industry because of the risk of contracting HIV. Some call bareback movies "snuff films." The Gay Video News Magazine Awards ceremony bans such films from even being nominated, though they are reviewed in the organization's magazine.
Major studios used to refuse to hire models who had appeared in bareback films, though that restriction has relaxed. Still, none of the majors condone the production of bareback films.
A smaller San Francisco studio called Treasure Island Media specializes in bareback films, however, and "people have definitely responded to it, and we have a pretty solid fan base," said Randy Johnson, a producer for the studio who also screens potential models for films. As for the threat of HIV, Johnson said the studio matches people of the same HIV-status and "nobody is being put at risk."
Johnson called the industry and award ban "hypocritical" because "there are no degrees; condom or no condom, it is all pornography."
The images and practices the studios do show sometimes concern people like John Karr, who has for 30 years reviewed gay adult movies for the Bay Area Reporter, the Castro neighborhood paper.
Karr said he wonders about the impact of porn on the sex lives of average gay men, whether it leads them into excessive fringe and fetish practices. Two movies up for awards this weekend -- "Justice" and "Folsom Filth" -- were both produced by San Francisco studios and portray hardcore and violent sexual acts.
"The very profusion of the gay sex film industry has led to super-performers being developed that do not represent the everyday person and the everyday person thinks that's how he should be acting -- and the circle continues," Karr said, adding, "This is something to view in wonderment, instead of condemnation." |
How high can you jump bareback? This isnt an actual question. Im on about like YOU yourself. Whats the highest you've jump bareback? Any videos or pictures?
x |
| Probably, it was between 3' and 4' as it was a fallen tree across a trail we were riding. From a practical standpoint, one should be able to jump "bareback" at the same level as if they had a "saddle" as tack is irrelevant. One's riding ability does not change relative to whether or not one is riding with or without tack. If you cannot do so, then your true ability is brought to the forefront. |
How do you mount a horse bareback? I've seen people do it different ways, but I have no idea how to actually do it. My horse is 15.3 and I'm not very strong. I'm not talking about using a mounting block btw. Any links to instructional videos you know of would be very helpful. |

And remember, ALWAYS pump your legs and count 1,2,3! and jump up on 3. |
Which gay male pornstar tested HIV positive last week? Its in the news that the latest HIV infected pornstar is a gay male pornstar. He worked in several bareback videos. Who is he? |

New Video! Bareback! Critique? Hey,
This is a new video of Thunder and I, my new horse. We're riding bareback so I can strengthen my seat and legs. Please critique. Also, today, he kept pushing his head really low against the bit and hanging on me. I didn't know whether to pull his head up and push him on with my legs or just release rein pressure to let him re-balance and then re-collect him. When his head goes up high and above the bit, I am half/halting him and pulling his head up. When his head goes down lower suddenly, I am releasing pressure and then re-collecting. Which should I do?

Thanks! |
Well, first off you area to ride might be small and less than ideal but knowing me i would move some of the dirt and make a jump out of it and then trim the plants back, making a jump looking clump and gets him to jump the clump. Grrrr jealous!
Pull his head softly and give even pressure with both feet just behind the girth. Keep thee inside hand a bit higher put PUSH HIM foward, riding him in to your hands in a frame.
If you want better results though take some lessons and ask how to fix this problem exactly |
How is my bareback riding (video included)? Suggesstions? this is my third time riding bareback, and my first time riding this particular horse bareback. does it look terrible? and do people have suggestions for keeping balance (i.e. lean forward, lean back? haha idk) i tend to lose my balance more coming down from the canter,, any tips? thanks

Wow, you're heaps good at bareback riding. I basically fall off if my horse goes into a fast trot or if we are doing a downward transition from a canter to a trot. I have to ask, what is it that you're riding on? A bareback pad?
I didn't see anything wrong with that but here's my input; I was taught that if you reach behind with your arm and touch the horses rump, bring your hand back to the reins and keep that position, that is how you can get maximum balance. I find that it works as my sitting trot was atrocious before I tried that little trick.
Although, I didn't find any balance problems in that video at all. Well done! |
How can I vault onto a horse bareback? I like to ride bareback but I always have to get someone to help me up because I have a tall horse. If there are and video's or if you could even explain how to vault up please help me.
Thank-you |
Make SURE that your horse isn't going to spook, firstly. I've gotten hurt a couple times trying to get on spooky horses, and it doesn't feel too great.
There are two ways that I use. When I first started, I just ran at my pony and jumped up with a bit of a running start. It looks ridiculous, and don't do it with a jumpy horse, but it works, its just maybe not the most glamorous.
The other way is harder, but more efficient. You begin standing at the horse's shoulder facing his tail, holding a handful of mane in your left hand, and vault yourself sideways, using the mane for some support and throwing your right leg over the horse's back.
If these don't make sense, there's tons of videos on Youtube. :) |
Whats the position for bareback Jumping? Are there any really good video's or pictures or can anyone explain it to me really well how to get such a good jumping position whilst riding bareback? |
| It should be the exact same position you would have if you had a saddle. Your heels should be down, your butt should but up, your hands should be forward etc. You use your thigh muscles (not your knees) to lift yourself. Remember to relax your upper body and not to stiffent up. |
Perfecting your bareback riding position? when i bareback ride i feel secure and i know im not going to fall but when i watch videos on youtube the riders bottom never leaves the horses back.
How can I have that perfection because it looks amazing when you see a rider doing that.
thanks to whomever answers! =) |
| Practice!! That's probably the best way to obtain a good "natural" bareback seat. Some little tips: When you ride try relaxing your muscles, don't clench on with you legs, move with your horse, sit on your balance point not on your crotch area. If you just keep it up it will start to get better. |
What should i fix with my bareback canter?(video)? this was my first time actually riding bareback and not just walking around bareback. This was also the first time i cantered bareback and i no im not great but what should i fix to make it better? This was kind of a spur of the moment thing me and my friend just decided to ride bareback that day so i wasnt planning on doing it. also i never cantered without stirrups before either so not having stirrups there while cantering was a first! i was holding onto tanks mane with my outside hand just in case.
watch in high quality!!!
thank you!! |
We all look a bit katty-wampus our first time with no saddle, but you managed to keep your balance very well and your leg position appeared solid. I can tell you are stiff though. It is very common for people to tense through their back, hip, and thigh while working bareback. They feel as though they have to squeeze every muscle in order to maintain balance and control. By doing so, you render almost all of your aids ineffective.
Work on relaxing through the back, hip, and thigh. Even relax your calve. Go back do some work in a saddle with no stirrups. Work your way to bareback. Have a friend or trainer attach a lunge line to your mount so that you can focus on you and only you. Have your friend maintain speed and direction. Close your eyes and allow yourself to feel and explore the rhythm of the gaits. Breath low and deep and think about being very lose (almost overly so) to keep yourself from tightening up. Its okay if your leg swings a bit while you work at finding the rhythm.
Also, you may want to work with your trainer on asking your horse to "sit" and come up and underneathe himself. In achieving the whole body collection, suppleness, or roundness where the hind is engaged and the fore is lifted, you are going to create a much more balanced canter. This means that you are going to have an easier time following the horse's movement.
Best of luck! Keep trucking. People like to think that riding is a finite sport in which you learn what you need in the span of a few years. False. Riding is a life-long learning curve. You never stop improving. |
