Phaneuf- yet to mature completely, but has the making of a future Norris.
Wideman- has done it all this year. PP specialist, great positional player.

Lidstrom-obvious
chara- good leader, absolute cannon
Green- not much love for mike green on here either
bouwmeester- only reason florida has a chance at all
Please be mature(meaning no haters).?
Ok I know probaly alot of people have asked this and i dont care i want to ask.Should Chris Benoit be inducted into the Wrestling Hall of Fame?
I mean can what he did really take away how good of a wrestler he was and that the fact that he was a legend and always will be?
another question: Do you think that WWE went to the extreme by making it like he never existed, by that i mean taking him out of games and dvd's.

Yes im one of those people who doesnt believe he did it, it just doesnt add up.

Remember plz be mature about this.
Chris Benoit, one of the greatest champions in the history of WWE, recently killed his wife and son before taking his own life.

Some may think that he doesn't deserve to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame because of that but that's like saying he didn't deserve to be a champion. Sure, the guy had some serious issues but is that any reason to refuse to acknowledge everything he has done for the business? Some might say yes
but I am among the loyal fans of Chris Benoit who think that he should be in the Hall of Fame regardless of how his life ended.

He wasn't the only one at fault here so why disrespect his memory by erasing him from wrestling history? Like so many others, I am outraged that Vince McMahon removed all merchandise with Benoit's name on it from WWEShop.com. Has Vince forgotten all that Benoit has done for the business? Without Benoit, I truly believe the business wouldn't be what it is today.

Sure, Benoit made pro wrestling look bad because of his actions during his final hours but he isn't to blame, according to the investigators who are in charge of the case. They stated that Benoit's body contained twice the normal amount of testosterone at the time of death, which means he had been taking steroids prior to the deaths of his wife and son. That being said, Benoit should still be inducted into the Hall of Fame since he was one of the greatest champions in recent memory.

Hopefully Vince can overlook the final hours of Benoit's life and give him the respect he deserves. The "Rabid Wolverine," as Benoit was known, was not only one of the best champions I can think of, he was also one of my favorites since the WCW days. His run with Ric Flair and the Four Horsemen was the start of his legendary wrestling career in the US.
Following his death, the WWE aired a three hour tribute show, which I thought was giving Benoit the respect he deserved. However, the next night on ECW on Sci-Fi, Vince McMahon stated "Last night, we aired a three hour tribute show for Chris Benoit. I want to apologize for that, since we didn't know
the circumstances surrounding his death at the time. Out of respect to the fans, we will not mention Chris Benoit's name on WWE television ever again. Once again, I'm sorry for the tribute show." How can anyone disrespect the memory of one of their employees by apologizing for giving him a tribute?! I'm sure Benoit rolled over in his grave when Vince stated that. I remember how disgusted I was that Vince wouldn't give Benoit the respect he deserved by placing him in the Hall of Fame. If Benoit doesn't get inducted this year, maybe, just maybe, the WWE will lose some of its loyal viewers to rival company TNA.

I know I might have to start watching TNA because even though Benoit's best friend, the late Eddie Guerrero didn't work for them, they still respected him by displaying "R.I.P. Eddie Guerrero" signs throughout the arena. Maybe they will give Benoit the same respect they gave Eddie since his own company wouldn't give it to him. Vince should consider putting Benoit in the Hall of Fame since he truly was a champion in and out of the ring. Hearing Vince apologize for airing the Benoit tribute show brought tears to my eyes because I loved and respected Benoit for everything he did and Vince just spat on his legacy by erasing him from the WWE's memory entirely.

I'm sure I'm not the only outraged wrestling fan who thinks Vince should loosen up and overlook the circumstances surrounding Benoit's death. Like I said earlier, he wasn't at fault when he killed his family and himself, it was steroids that were prescribed by his doctor who is now going on trial for giving out the steroids as if they were candy or something. I hope justice is served in the end and Benoit gets the respect he deserves.

Rest in peace, Chris Benoit.
What do you think about this?
Do you think Ke$ha could make it into the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame?

Her voice is just amazing. She doesn't use any of the fake AutoTune stuff like everyone else, and she acts so mature and proper!

Her music is awesome, and her lyrics just speak to me. I think she should be in the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame, because she has some rocking songs, and she has some of the best music of the entire 21st century, if not some of the best music ever!

Your input? Who could I speak to, to recommend Ke$ha?
Unsuccessful troll always unsuccessful
Wrestling question????
Do you think "The Franchise" Shane Douglas deserves to be recognized or acknowledged in the wrestling hall of fame? Why or why not? Mature answers greatly appreciated.
Jesus! Hell no! Are you serious? Ok, let me explain, when a wrestler "makes it," then decides to take his obvious tallents and benifits to other promotions, then that's fine, but when an egotistical jobber (hence "The Fran-Cheese") bounces from promotion to promotion, but can't stick in one spot long enough to establish antything positive, and he does this WAY before he ever gets over, then he shouldn't be considered for a spot on The Sureal World, let alone the hall of fame.

Douglas did nothing but pi$$ off people in power positions. His ego and attitude far outweighed his tallent and potential. He was nothing more than a Sean Waltman (Xpac), talent-wise, but the difference is Waltman waited until his obvious drive and determination paid off before he started pi$$ing off people in power positions.

I could see if you asked the same question about Waltman, even though the answer would still be a huge no, but The Fran-Cheese doesn't even belong in the same sentence with people like Waltman, and that's sad.

Asking this question is like asking if Al Snow, Darren Drozdoff, and Lanny Paffo deserve to be in the Hall. Give me a break, but nice discussion starter.
Shiz is about to go down yall: Who's more full of it, Slash or Axl?
AXL SPEAKS YALL!

And the text:

Did Axl Rose Swindle Guns n’ Roses and Steal Slash’s Song? A Guide to Rose’s Online Rants.

Axl Rose didn’t give any magazine or TV interviews to herald the release of Chinese Democracy. But just days after breaking his silence with a pair of Q&As on Guns n’ Roses message boards, Rose has published a 4,594-word post and an additional Q&A on the two fan sites. Those who haven’t been following the Gn’R saga for the past 20 years may be a bit confused by some of his references to age-old beefs with Slash and other bits of Guns jargon. We’ve broken out the juiciest bits and explained them here:

Claim I. I didn’t swindle my bandmates.

Backstory: Slash has alleged that Axl refused to go onstage one night during the Use Your Illusion tour in 1992 unless the band signed away the name rights to the band. “Unfortunately, we signed it,” said Slash. “I didn’t think he’d on stage otherwise.”

Axl’s take: “Never happened, all made up, fallacy and fantasy. Not one single solitary thread of truth to it. Had that been the case I would’ve have been cremated years ago legally, could’ve cleaned me out for the name and damages. It’s called under duress with extenuating circumstances.”

Plausibility: Axl makes a surprisingly strong case. Might Slash not have had the clearest head during that tour?

Claim II. Slash lied in his book.

Backstory: In Slash’s 2007 book the guitarist claims that Guns n’ Roses’ final recording sessions were stalled due to a vast musical direction between himself and Axl.

Axl’s take: “I have the rehearsal tapes. There’s nothing but Slash-based blues rock and he stopped it to both go solo and try to completely take over Guns. I read all this if Axl would’ve put words and melodies on it could’ve… I was specifically told no lyrics, no melodies, no changes to anything and to sing what I was told or **** off.”

Plausibility: It’s a classic case of he said, Slash said — but again, Slash’s memory of events from the 1990s is always questionable.

Claim III: We won’t reform at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Backstory: Fans have been clamoring for a reunion tour from the original lineup when the band is eventually inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Slash has said, “If this comes up, I’d hope we’d be mature enough to get up and do that.”

Axl’s take: “Never thought about that, with the RRHOF. The whole ‘mature enough’ bit was cute. Not to offend anyone but personally I don’t have an interest… It’s a ways away and seems a bit presumptuous to be contemplating being inducted now.”

Plausibility: Axl is now managed by Irving Azoff, a reunion miracle worker who reformed the Eagles and got David Lee Roth back onstage with Van Halen last year. His work is cut out for him this time. If it ever happens, it probably won’t be at the Rock and Roll Fall of Fame in two years.

Claim IV: Velvet Revolver took our song.

Backstory: Velvet Revolver had a hit single in 2004 with “Fall To Pieces.”

Axl’s take: He claims the song originated during the band’s ill-fated final sessions in the mid 1990s. “… Which led to the trial period where Slash played the key bits of ‘Fall to Pieces’ but once I showed some interest that was over.”

Plausibility: Hearing it again today, it’s easy to imagine Axl singing the song — which could have been a classic Gn’R hit if done right. Did Slash play it for Axl, only to pull it when interest was showed? Probably.

I used to believe Slash, but now...I don't know.
o sweet guy of mine, welcome to the jungle where some people steal songs from other hairy individuals only because they have no patience. that would be so fine. and you could be mine. what they need to do is take the night train and go all the way down to paradise city and knock on heavens door. there they shall meet mr. brown stone and a bunch of wild horses with which they should seek help on theyre petty differences before an all out civil war breaks out. i have this bad obsession with gnr, i try not to cry when mum and dad double talk and jive ( ? ) if only they werent pretty tied up. oooooh yeah
If this was a rebuilding Patriots team that went 14-2, what do you think they can do with the built Patriots?
When you think about it, there were a huge amount of rookies on that team. Even then, Brady captured the first unanimous MVP ever, McCourtey was the only other player besides Suh to get Defensive Rookie MVP consideration, Green-Ellis rushed for 1000 yards, and all in all they had a incredible year with a bunch of rookies led by a future Hall of Fame QB. So my question is, what do you think they can do when these rookies mature? What happens when this Patriots team reaches it's potential?
22-0
DS: My breed mentor isnt all she cracked up to be?
Please don't answer if you don't wanna read it all.. Star for Showing Contacts if you can.

My BOSS is a long-time dog shower (15+ years) and has been in Aussies specifically for almost as long. She is my showing and breeding mentor (I have three. My other boss has Staffies and handles Great Danes/Rhodesian Ridgebacks, and my 3rd mentor I see infrequently but her wisdom is worth it's weight in gold)

My boss who is involved in the Aussies has given me a great leg up- She has taught me a lot (and attended my handling classes with me some odd few years ago so she could guide me as well) And has helped me get my foot in the door to acquaint myself with the Top Aussie and Rough Collie breeders in my state. Because of this I share their tent space with them and overtime they have given me little "secrets" here and there, and continue to release small bits of information at a time.

HOWEVER. My boss is extremely competitive and has -always- talked of my puppy in a mildly negative manner. It's never rude but she will comment on her "short legs" or "pin head" or "her markings make her look shorter" etc. My puppy is from a MBIS BISS CH ASCA/AKA Sire and a AKC/ASCAFinished, Special Dam, produced by a Hall of Fame Kennel and breeders who have been in Aussies for years and have around 70 bred-by champions to date. I was sold my puppy as a show puppy on a contract and I'm not concerned at all about her not being show quality. She's very much a babyface, and her parents were both slow to mature. Her parents are also quite thick in their bone, something that her breeder (Calais Carolina) is famous for- Beautiful bone density among other things of course.

I recently found out that My boss has been actually TELLING people about my puppy and her supposed faults. The most recent one I heard, my boss was saying at "Pippin is too small to ever have puppies". This was repeated by my boss's best friend to someone who was going to wait for me to breed Pippin to get a puppy from me.

My boss should KNOW better, Aussies are slow to mature! Pippin is NOT small at all, she's just young- - I'm shocked that my boss/mentor would say such a thing, isn't she supposed to support me?

Everyone else, including my two other mentors, say that Pippin is a fine height and they see no problems with her being a baby still. She's 7 months old for crying out loud, she's still growing.

I unfortunately have to work with my boss still and have to "make nice" for obvious reasons, but I really don't know quite what ti think right now.

I'm flabbergasted that she would talk of my puppy in a derogatory manner, and somehow her bred-by puppy is "perfect". It is just very frustrating because I look up to her and she's not being nice at all :(

This is her @ 6 months old, as a reference.
I don't need to be a show breeder, or see evidence of your pup's merit . Because the woman you refer to as a "boss" and "mentor" is everything but. Her derisive comments about your dog serve no purpose other than to demean you and these are the actions of a very insecure, emotionally unstable person.

Your problem is you are constantly seeking approval - and she knows it, and is exploiting it. She realizes you are progressing, and have a very nice dog - and one day, you will probably beat her.

Its not a friendship or even a business relationship - its a dysfunctional relationship you have chosen to continue.

You cannot change what others say - you can choose how you react to it.

People that insult my dog insult me. I won't tolerate it. Neither should you.
***********************
Add: You state you have to "make nice" for obvious reasons? What is obvious? Unless this women is paying you and your relationship is monetary and this is a "job" that you do to pay your bills, dump her.

Being desparate is not a reason to continue to let others ridicule you. Ask yourself what you are really afraid of.
*************************
@Jen: Constructive criticism is valuable and its best delivered in person, in private, objectively based on quantified and qualitative merit. A MENTOR is there to develop an underlinging - not squish them like a bug.

Running around behind a person's back and ripping apart their dog with petty, mean spirited comments is about as shallow as a pond can get. Its bad enough your competitors do it - its unforgivable if its your so-called "mentor".

Why people accept this as showmanship and as part of competition is beyond me.
R&P... Got a Yahurban Dictionary..?
A few questions ago, I asked my dear fellow rock and poppers to define the term "Teenager Music", and I had some FANTASTIC answers, so today, I thought, well, why not have my good friends on here keep up their really great answers? So here's a new term for you all to define...

To the question, shall we?

-> Define the term, "mainstream music".

Many use this term so much to the point that the true meaning behind it can be very muddled. To clear all that up, and to make sure that the term is used in a way that nobody would be offended, what is R&P's definition of "mainstream music"?

Feel free to list bands or musicians that you consider mainstream. Let your heart out on this... don't let anything bar you from expressing your true feelings about this term!

BQ: I really would like to thank everyone on here for being so nice. I looked at my friend, Patrick Kruspe's "hall of fame" question, and I would like to thank those that mentioned me on there, although I really do not deserve that. I'm not really mature enough sometimes on here, and I do not know near enough music like everyone else on here. But just a thanks for everyone for being just so nice. :)

BBQ(yum): How was your day today, fellow rock and poppers?

BBBQ: Opinions on Urban Dictionary?

Enjoy! :) Maybe we can overtake Merriam Webster's! >:D
Mainstream music, also known as 'What Everyone Listens To' [Page 88], is music that the general population listens to. While not always produced with the purpose of becoming a major hit among most people, mainstream music is generally made for success. Pop music is the most common kind of mainstream music, followed by rap, not to be confused with underground rap [Page 73], and then folk music.

Some of it rocks. Most of it doesn't.

BQ: You're too nice for our niceness... quit making us look bad >.>
BBQ: Uneventful and lazy. Pretty awesome, in other words.
BBBQ: It gives me a chuckle at times, so I like it.

Or overtake Oxford.
How to convince my mom to let me by Fight Night Champion?
OK, I'm a new but big boxing fan. I went over the weekend to the boxing hall of fame. Boxing is now my new favorite sport. So I downloaded the demo for F.N.C. and I really liked it. People say the championship mode is great. Problem is, it's M. I own M games like Call of Duty: Black Ops, MW2, and Halo: Reach. Now my dad can care less about the game I play as long as I don't do anything in them in real life like in GTA (Which I don't own). My mom on the other hand is pretty protective over what I play because she thinks that I'll do the stuff in the games. My dad though will side with my mom because he doesn't want to here her nag. I know that there is blood, language, violence, and suggestive themes, but I've played T games that are worst than that. I'm 13 by the way. How do I convince my mom to let me buy the game? If you are going to say that I'm to young and I should mature, save your breath. I watch boxing by the way. Thanks!
Tell her that strong language, blood, and violence is in the actual sport of boxing. Any punch (ex. uppercut) that hits someone in the face and possibly causes bleeding is all part of boxing. She must understand that the game is just trying to be realistic as the actual sport itself. Rivals would curse up a storm on each other, so that's going to be in the game too. Tell her that the game is just like what you watch on T.V. If she lets you watch it, then she should have no problem letting you get the game.
Is Lea Michele's singing overrated?
Don't get me wrong, she's good, but they make her out to be Aretha, Barbara, Mariah, LeAnn, Patti, and Celine. She's one of my favorite singers, but I wish people would stop trying to make her in to this legendary, Rock N Roll hall of fame type of singer. She's just a person who sings Broadway songs on a hit tv show aimed for mature teenagers. Another thing is it's annoying when people belittle the other girls' singing on the show if they're not "strong" enough compared to her. They think because they can't sing "broadway showtunes", they're not as talent. Everyone has their own style of singing.
The point isn't her popularity or her music, it's her voice, which is outstanding. So for that, I say no, her singing is not overrated.

Have you heard how good she sings raw? That's also the point. Half the singers in the music industry today can't do what she does.

I'm a fan of her, and I suppose I sound like a die hard fan, however I get annoyed at her getting every solo, and the other girls not getting enough praise. I agree there.

But to say she's not legendary or won't one day be legendary? Sooo not true.

Just sayin'. :)
